Paperself Eyelashes was launched in 2009 by London-based designer Chunwei Liao. Since then, it has immensely succeeded at exploring ways in which art, paper and beauty can perfectly intertwine. Inspired by Origami art, the Paperself Eyelashes line contains intricately designed patterns, shapes and connotations that coalesce to carefully bridge the gap between traditional culture and contemporary art. This pioneering genre of false eyelashes are created in a delicate procedure whereby coated paper is finely cut and shaped to resemble unique landmarks, wildlife or flora - with each design holding symbolic value. Paperself Eyelashes are available in two sizes; smaller lashes emphasize a less-obtrusive daytime look while the larger lashes are created with added length, allowing one to cut, shape or shorten for a desired look and making them ideal for glamorous events, special calendar dates or large gatherings for that extra, eye-catching elegance.
